| Swindon Disco - Surprise Party |
|
| This is one of the hardest
parties to arrange and certainly one of the
most difficult from an organiser’s point
of view.
We have performed at many of
these events and I would estimate that around
25% of people suspect something is going
on. On nearly every occasion that this has
happened the leak has come from children
so here are some simple guidelines.
“Must Do’s”
• Get a trusted friend
to act as point of contact
• Do not use you’re mobile phone
as a point of contact
• If you do need to use you’re
phone as a point of contact make sure the people
phoning ask you if it is OK to
talk
• Set up a Free
Hotmail account for remote communication
by email. Failing that we can act as a point
of contact
• If you need to tell children leave
it to the last possible moment, they are the
biggest source of leaks
• If the venue is booking the DJ make
sure you get their contact information and
talk to them. Doing a gig like that blind is
really hard if there are specific musical requirements
• Getting the unsuspecting surprise guest
to the venue needs lots of preparation so start
early. Plant early innocent suggestions and
get friends to build up the whole picture well
in advance to take away any suspicion
If
you want help we can coordinate
the whole event for you removing the risk
of leaked information. We have done this
many times and we are experts. |
